Circuit Diagrams for drawing circuit schematics or maps

Use the below symbols when drawing a circuit.  Remember there is a difference between a parallel circuit and a series circuit.  A series circuit is when the entire circuit is in one loop.  A parallel circuit is a closed path of electricity where there are multiple, independent paths for the electricity to flow through.

The charge of an electron is              q = – 1.6 x 10^-19C

The charge of a proton is                  q = + 1.6 x 10^-19C        

The strength of the electric field         k = 8.9 x 10⁹ Nm² /C²

The strength of gravity                  G = 6.67 x10^-11 Nm² /kg²

The mass of an electron                 m_e =  9 x 10^-31 kg
